How to Find Books and Journals

Find Books and Journals in Okayama University

Use Library Catalog to find books and journals in Okayama University.

Search for Books

1. Access to Library Catalog.
2. Enter keywords in search boxes, and click "Search". You can search by bibliographic informations such as title and author of the book.
3. Search Result List will be displayed. If you find a book you like, click the blue title of the book to know more details.
4. Check "Location", "Call mark" and "Status" of the book. Make sure that "Status" is "Available".

Search for Journals

1. Access to Library Catalog.
2. Enter keywords in search boxes, and click "Search". You can search by bibliographic informations such as title and ISSN of a journal.
3. Search Result List will be displayed. If you find a journal you need, click the blue title of the journal to know more details.
4. Check "Holding volume" and "Location" of the journal. Make sure that the library has the volume you need.

Books are arranged on shelves by Call mark. Arrangement of Periodicals is different in each libraries. For more information about the arrangement and location of library materials, please see following pages.

Search for E-journals

If you don't find a journal in our Library Catalog, It may be found in E-journals List.

*Members of Okayama University only.
*Please obey the rules of each E-journal. If you disobey them, not only you but also Okayama University may be penalized.

1. Access to E-journals/Books and Databases.
2. Click "Okayama University E-Journals List".
3. Enter title, subject or ISSN of the journal and click "Search". You can also browse journals by discipline.
