My Library is a personal web service for Okayama University students and faculties. To use this service, you need Okadai ID and password.

How to Use My Library (on Campus Only)

What kind of services does it provide?

Reserve Books Currently out on Loan

You can reserve books which are out on loan. You can reserve books only in Central Library, and you need to get them in Central Library.

Check current Borrowing

You can check what you are borrowing and its due date.

Renew Your Current Borrowing

You can renew loan period via the Internet.

Get Photocopy from Other Libraries

You can order photocopy of article from other libraries.
This is fee-charging service. All users need to apply for this service.

Borrow Books from Other Libraries

You can order books from other libraries. The loan period is depends on the library you borrowed from.
This is fee-charging service. All users need to apply for this service.

How to Apply

You may use some service without application dipending on what kind of ID card you have.
Persons who have:

(a) Student ID or faculty ID with IC chip

You can use "reserve", "renew", and "check current borrowing" services without any applications. You need to apply to use Interlibrary Loan service (order book or photocopy from other libraries) in My Library.

(b) Student ID or faculty ID without IC chip

You need to apply for this service. Please submit Library Web Service Application Form to the circulation desk in your library (Avalable in 9:00-17:00, weekday).

How to Log in

Click the banner labelled "My Library" on the Library top page, and log in with your Okadai ID and password.

If you forget your Okadai ID, contact with Center for Information Technology and Management. Library can't check your Okadai ID and password.

Attention

Don't forget to close the web browser when you use a shared computer. There is no "log out" button in My library. When you finish My Library, please close the browser to log out. If you leave the system log in, your personal information may leak or your name may be used for requests and other services.
Once you log into My Library, your log-in status will not change no matter how many times you come and go between My Library and Material Search. Please do not forget to close the browser.
Your name is at the upper right corner of the page when you are log in.

How to Use My Library

How to Reserve

You can reserve only books in Central Library. You need to get them at Central Library.
* You can’t reserve some books, for example books kept in laboratories.

  1. Log in to My Library and search Library Catalog. Click "Reserve" button in Search Result List page or Details page.
    * If you aren't logging in to My library, log in page will be appear.

  2. Check the detail of reservation, and go "Input", "Confirm", and "Complete" page.

  • When we receive the reservation, we'll send an e-mail for confirmation. E-mail is sent to G-mail address provided by Okayama University. If you hope to get messages in other e-mail address, insert it from Personal Settings in My Library.
  • When the reserved book is ready, a message is sent to G-mail address or inserted address.
  • If you don't come to get the book in a week, the reservation is automatically cancelled.
  • You can reserve up to 5 books.

How to Cancel Reservation

  1. Click "Reserved materials" on top page of My Library, and show the list of books you reserved.
  2. Choose reservation you want to cancel, click "cancel" button.

How to Renew Loan Period

  1. Click "Local Library" on top page of My Library, and show the list of books you are borrowing now.
  2. Choose the book you want to extend loan period, click "Renew" button.

  3. Please check that the loan period is extended.
    The period is extended for 2 weeks starting from the renewal date, not from the due date.
