Phased Restart of Library Services (from October 1, only for members)

September 23, 2020

We lengthen open hours from Tursday, October 1, and we allow users to use some study rooms of Central Library for classes. Non-member of Okayama University is continuously restricted to use libraries. For detailed services, check each library's section. We may change the range of services if the situation changes.
Sorry for inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

・October 1: Open hours of Central Library lengthened to 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
・September 1: Open hours of Shikata Branch Library lengthened to 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.



When You Visit Library

We ask you
  • not to come library when you have fever, cough and sense of fatigue.
  • to wear a mask in libraries and frequently wash or disinfect your hands.
  • to take social distance and avoid contacts with other users.
  • to make your stay as short as possible.

Open Hours
8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday to Friday
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and national holiday

Services
You can use reading desks. We reduce the number of desk and chairs, use them only for your study.

【Available Services】
 ○ Borrowing and returning materials
 ○ Copying of materials in the library.
 ○ Use of reading desk. (Some areas are restricted. Check notice in the library.)
 ○ Print out materials using library printers. (Only from user-own computers)
   →You need to install a driver for library printer in advance.
 ○ ILL service (ordering books and photocopy in other libraries)
 ○ Borrowing and returning of Okayama Prefectural Library's materials reserved on the internet.
 ○ Application and renewal of library card.
 ○ Use of some study rooms. (Only for classes and on-campus training.)

【Unavailable Services】
 × Use of computers.
 × Borrowing of laptop and other equipment.
 × Use by non-menmember of Okayama University.

【Use of Materials in Restricted Area】
Some area is closed to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. Apply to Circulation Desk to use materials in the restricted area.
You can get the materials on that day if you apply until 4 p.m., weekdays. t takes time if you apply by e-mail and FAX. We will announce you by e-mail when the applied materials are ready.

【Use of study rooms】
 ○Terms of Use
1)The purpose of use must be for classes or on-campus training.
2) The use need faculty attendance and infection prevention.

1) Seminor Rooms / 3rd floor of Main Building
2) Group study rooms / 3rd floor of Main Building
3) Research Rooms(Group) / 4th floor of West Building

Non-members of Okayama University are not allowed to use library.

Shikata Branch Library

Open Hours
9 a.m. – 8 p.m., weekdays
From Tursday, September 1
Please Check Annual Calendar.

User must exit at 8 p.m. and re-enter using special entrance service.
Special entrance service will start after the patrol by staff in the library.
Special entrance service all day are on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
※Special entrance service allow faculties and students in Shikata Campus to enter the Shikata Branch Library while the library is closed.
