Restart of Some Services (from May 22, only for members)

We are closed from Apr. 18 to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. From Friday, May 22, we re-start some services for Okayama University members due to the change of "Okayama University Guidelines on Activity Restrictions to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus Infection." Check detail of services of teach libraries.
We may change the range of services if the situation changes.

Update History
- June 1: Restarted ILL service (ordering books and photocopy in other libraries).
- June 1: Changed available users of Borrowing and Returning by Mail and Get photocopy by mail.


When You Visit Library

We ask you
  • not to come library when you have fever, cough and sense of fatigue.
  • to wear a mask in libraries and frequently wash or disinfect your hands.
  • to take social distance and avoid contacts with other users.
  • to search in onlie catalog(OPAC)in advance to make your stay within 30 minutes.

You can borrow, return and photocopy materials in the library. Make sure that your stay will be short, approximately within 30 minutes. Take materials by yourself and borrow or make photocopy of them.

【Available Services】
 ○ Borrowing and returning, including use of materials in stacks.
 ○ Copying of materials in the library. (you can't make copy of microfilms.)
 ○ Application and renewal of library card.
 ○ Borrowing and returning by mail (only for members who are restricted to enter the campus)
 ○ Get photocopy by mail (only for members who are restricted to enter the campus)
 ○ ILL service (ordering books and photocopy in other libraries)

【Unavailable Services】
 × Use of desks, including Learning Commons
 × Use of computers
 × Borrowing of laptop and other equipment
 × Borrowing and returning of Okayama Prefectural Library's materials reserved on the internet.
 × Use by non-member of Okayama University

【Use of Materials in Restricted Area】
Some area is closed to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. Apply to Circulation Desk to use materials in the restricted area.
You can get the materials on that day if you apply until 3 p.m., weekdays. t takes time if you apply by e-mail and FAX. We will announce you by e-mail when the applied materials are ready.

Extension of Loan Period
Due date of books borrowed in long-term loan for vacation, excepting overdue books, were changed from Apr. 23 to May 19 to June 16.

※Application procedure is not Required.

Non-member of Okayama University is unavailable to use library from March 27.

ILL Service (Order Books and Photocopy of Materials in Other Libraries)
We accept orders needed for medical examination for the level for education and research activities is 3 in "Okayama University Guidelines on Activity Restrictions to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus Infection."
Many domestic and foreign libraries are closed due to emergency declarations. Understand that it takes more time or unavailable to get materials.

Use by non-members of Okayama University
Non-member of Okayama University is unavailable to use library, from March 27.

Open as usual (9 a.m. – 5 p.m., weekdays)
※We lock the entrance due to reduction of number of staffs. Use security card and enter the library.

Services
You can borrow, return and photocopy materials in the library. Make sure that your stay will be short, approximately within 30 minutes. Take materials by yourself and borrow or make photocopy of them.
Send us visiting date and materials you want by e-mail,if you are a member belongs to other campus.

Students and faculties who are restricted to enter the campus by Okayama University.
As of June 1: Person who lives in Hokkaido, Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Hyogo, Osaka or Kyoto Prefecture.

*We'll end this service when Okayama University lift the restriction for members to enter the campuses.

・Status is "貸出中" or "In circulation." You can reserve via MyLibrary but you can't borrow it by mail.

・AV materials (DVD, CD and video tape)

Up to 5 (Order all your orders at one time.)

Loan Period
3 weeks(including days for shipping. No renewal.)

How to Return
Visit the library and return materials if the entrance restriction is lifted during loan period.
Send books back by mail or delivery service as follow.
