Okayama University will begin offering access to "Web of Science Research Assistant," an AI-powered research support tool, is now available to use, starting November 2025.

"Research Assistant" leverages AI to enable literature searches using commonly used language in Japanese, English, and a variety of other languages (natural language search). Furthermore, it facilitates literature reviews and the exploration of research trends and research gaps, significantly reducing the time required for literature surveys.

We have also prioritized safety and reliability. The AI within "Research Assistant" draws upon the highly reliable data indexed in "Web of Science." The search results clearly display the source information of referenced papers and the search criteria (query), providing a transparent and trustworthy search environment.

"Research Assistant" is accessible via the "Research Assistant" tab located on the top taskbar of the "Web of Science" search screen.
