We would like to inform you of an incident on November 8th where there was a mass download of ACM electronic journals. This resulted in the temporary blocking of access to these journals for certain IP addresses.

Such incidents can potentially affect access for our entire institution. Therefore, we remind all users to respect the terms of use when accessing electronic journals and databases.

Please observe the following to prevent mass downloading:
- Avoid the use of download managers, automated retrieval tools, P2P software, or any browser add-ons that facilitate bulk downloading.
- Only download articles manually that you plan to read immediately.
* Avoid downloading files in advance for potential future reading.
* Do not download entire issues of journals.
